The Election Commission of India (ECI) has directed repolling at a specific polling station in Ater assembly constituency in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district, according to an official release on Sunday, news agency ANI reported. Re-polling is to be held on Tuesday at booth number 3, polling station number 71 located in Kishupura village. The decision was taken following a complaint filed by Madhya Pradesh Cooperation and Public Service Management Minister Arvind Singh Bhadauria, who had requested for repolling at more than half a dozen polling stations.
Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections Re-polling was ordered by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on November 21 at a booth in Ater assembly constituency in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh.
Votes will be cast at booth number 3 under polling station number 71 located in Kishupura.

Re-polling is scheduled on November 21 (Tuesday) from 7 am to 6 pm, with mock poll starting at 5.30 am. The polling team will leave for the station on November 20. According to the release, during re-polling, indelible ink will be applied on the middle finger of the voter’s left hand.
While giving instructions to Bhind Collector and District Election Officer, ECI has made proper training mandatory for the presiding officer of the polling party and polling officers. Additionally, the Collector, District Election Officer and Returning Officer of Ater Assembly constituency are required to inform all the candidates and political parties about the repoll through Dondi (Munadi) in the polling station area, ANI reported.
It is noteworthy that there was stone pelting outside the polling booth in Manhad village of Mehgaon assembly constituency of Bhind. BJP candidate Rakesh Shukla suffered minor injuries during the incident.
In Ater, BJP leader and sitting MLA Arvind Singh Bhadauria is contesting against former Congress party MLA Hemant Katare. Voting for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly was held on November 17, with 71.16 percent voting. Counting of votes is to take place on December 3.
