The ICC World Cup 2023 final between India and Australia is set to enthrall fans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This anticipation has created an atmosphere of excitement not only in Ahmedabad but across the country. Due to the possibility of heavy traffic, strict restrictions will be in place, especially on the stretch from Shanti Niketan (Junior) School Road to Motera Stadium. As cricket fever increases, restrictions and changes will be made on some roads in Ahmedabad to facilitate smooth movement.
Vehicular movement is restricted on many roads near Narendra Modi Stadium. There is a ban on movement of vehicles from Janpath T to the main gate of Motera Stadium. Movement of vehicles from Krupa Niwas to the main gate of Motera Stadium is also restricted from 11 am to 12 noon.
Heavy traffic diversion will be implemented from Madhur Dairy towards Tapovan Circle, which will be diverted towards Dayanand Saraswati Circle.
As per a notification issued by the office of Gandhinagar Collector and District Magistrate, entry of heavy vehicles will be restricted on the road from Bhatt Koteshwar Chowk towards Motera till Shanti Niketan (Junior) School, reports ABP Asmita. Heavy vehicles coming from Mother Dairy will have to divert towards Tapovan Circle via Apollo Circle.
Exceptions will be made for vehicles related to cricket matches, government vehicles, fire brigade, ambulance and vehicles involved in emergency situations.
Security arrangements have been significantly increased for the program. Around 4,000 police personnel are deployed inside the stadium for security, including one Inspector General (IG), 20 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), 145 Police Sub-Inspectors (PSIs), and 13 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP). Additionally, 4 IGPs, 27 ACPs and 230 PSI will be deployed in the city, reports ABP Asmita. Traffic management will include one IGP, 11 ACPs and 36 PSIs.
Amidst the elaborate security arrangements, the match promises to be an electric atmosphere with over a lakh spectators including various politicians and celebrities attending. The state government has made coordinated efforts to ensure safety, cleanliness and traffic management during this high-profile event.

The weather department estimates that the day will be pleasant in Ahmedabad during the final match. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 17 degrees Celsius.
