Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh given 21 days leave, again in Sunaria jail, Rohtak Haryana News

News agency ANI reported that Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been discharged and released for 21 days. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is convicted in a rape case and returned to Rohtak’s Sunaria jail in August after his one-month parole ended. The convicted leader, who lives in Haryana’s Sirsa, was earlier granted parole in July, during which he visited the Dera Sacha Sauda Ashram in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district.

Gurmeet Singh, who turned 56 on August 15, came out of Sunaria jail after getting parole for the second time this year. He is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for the rape of two of his disciples.

Earlier, he had come out on parole for 40 days in January and in October last year also he was given parole for the same period. The Dera chief also got one month parole in June 2022. Last year he was given three weeks leave from February 7.

The repeated parole granted to rape convicts has raised questions on the stand of the Haryana government. Responding to questions about this in July, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala told PTI, “As per the jail manual, a person is allowed this (parole). It is a constitutional right. If there is a case, The government will definitely look into the issue.” Any act done against the law.”

In 2021, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted along with three others for conspiring to murder Dera manager Ranjit Singh. Additionally, in 2019, he and three others were convicted of the murder of a journalist that had occurred 16 years earlier.
