Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has criticized the Maharashtra government after the FIR was lodged against Aditya Thackeray and said that it was lodged against him for doing some ‘corrupt’ and ‘illegitimate’ things which is very embarrassing to the government. Should have done it earlier. Mumbai Police has registered a case against Aditya Thackeray, Sunil Shinde and Sachin Ahir for opening the Delisle Bridge in Lower Parel without permission. Reacting to this, Chaturvedi said that the bridge was constructed long ago but the government was waiting for a VIP to inaugurate it.
“This has been registered against Aditya Thackeray for doing something which the illegitimate and corrupt government should have done long ago. There is a bridge whose construction is pending for a long time and there is a lot of delay. This is creating a lot of problems. and inconvenience to the people of Mumbai,” she said.

“It has been ready for weeks, but they are not allowing people to go just because they want some VIP to inaugurate it… They worked for the people, opened the ready bridge and said there will be no traffic here Movement should be allowed.” The MP further said.
According to ANI, a case has been registered at NM Joshi police station under sections 143, 149, 326 and 447 of the IPC. BMC officials complained to the police that the work on the bridge is still pending and the bridge was inaugurated by Aditya Thackeray and others on November 16.
